Harrington Family Foundation Scholarship – $2,500 renewable – Deadline: April 14th, 2014

The Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship is a renewable four-year collegiate scholarship program for Oregon high school seniors who are emerging leaders planning to attend an Oregon university or trade school. The program is intended to facilitate the growth of promising leaders in the state of Oregon by developing the skills needed to flourish within their local communities.

This is a need-based scholarship with criteria focusing on an individual’s involvement in his or her community, rather than academic or athletic performance.

Four scholarships will be issued for the 2014/15 academic year. Each scholarship is worth $2,500 and renewable for a four-year total of $10,000 per student. The Foundation is making a total annual commitment of $40,000 a year in perpetuity.

Criteria
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
 Achieve a high school diploma or GED in the state of Oregon
 Completed an application to at least one Oregon collegiate program (university, college, or trade program)
 Committed to attending an Oregon university, college, or trade school in 2014/15 academic year
 Completed standardized testing required for program admission (SAT or ACT)
 Proof of Community Involvement/Volunteerism
 Financial Need
