This scholarship has been established to assist an alcohol and drug-free graduating high school student who is pursuing higher education at a University, Community College, or Trade School in Oregon. Minimum scholarship amount awarded is $500.
1.) Students must have no referrals or citations (whether informal or formal) of any kind for alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.
2.) Must be graduating from an Oregon high school.
3.) Must be attending a University, Community College or Trade School in Oregon.
4.) Required to attach a typed 1-2 page essay with the following:
A) Student introduction (may include one or more of the following: background, goals, accomplishments, awards, certifications, activities, sports, volunteerism, work history, or other); and B) Reasons the applying student has chosen to be alcohol and drug free; and C) Reasons substance abuse and impaired driving education is important to the applying student.
5.) A letter of recommendation from a teacher, principal, or school counselor at the student’s current high school.
